Thorsten Arnold lives on a small mixed farm in South-western Ontario with his wife Kristine Hammel and their three children. With an academic background in Earth Systems sciences, he is hopeful that Holistic Management can help managing living systems – whether these are farm animals on pasture, children and family, landscapes, or for institutional policies. Thorsten has been consulting and building regenerative farms and food systems for 10 years, educating about biosphere regeneration.

Bluesette Campbell and her husband, Mark, run a 4000-acre ranch as a 700-cow/calf and long yearling operation along with Mark’s brother, Scott.  They are third generation Campbells with the intergenerational transition to the fourth just around the corner.  Their family ranch has been managed holistically for over 30 years with Bluesette being a part for the past 20+.  It is stated in their 3-part holistic goal that ideas and expereriences are shared with others in the community, therefore, as Don Campbell did before her, Bluesette is in the process of becoming a Certified Educator so she can teach what has brought her family much success in agriculture. She currently sits as a Director on the HM Canada Board and the annual conference committee.

Don is a second generation rancher born in 1944 raised at Meadow Lake, Sask. He jointly owns and operates B-C Ranch Inc. with his wife Bev, his son Scott and his son Mark and Mark’s wife Bluesette. The ranch is about 4200 acres, it is a grass based operation running about 650 cows and marketing long yearlings. Don has 30 years of experience teaching Holistic Management across Western Canada & implementing the practices on his ranch.

Ralph and Linda own a cow/calf and custom grazing ranch that they manage holistically.  They promote Holistic Management to anyone that is interested because Holistic Management has helped strengthen their operation in people, land and finances. They teach the 6 day course covering goal setting,financial planning,pasture and land planning.  A group of between 10 and 20 people is optimal.  Couples or management teams are encouraged to attend. The management club that is formed after the course is good support to implement positive changes. We also offer a one day overview of Holistic Management and will do consulting in goal setting, financial planning, land & pasture planning.

Erin was the 5th generation to grow up on her family farm in South West Manitoba.  Grounded in the land and people of the prairies, she worked for decades to strengthen local food supply chains through her business Crampton’s Market.  She now works to support regenerative farming as a tool to regenerate landscapes, people and communities.  She is a Savory Accredited Professional and offers Holistic Management education virtually. Blain has 15 years of practical experience using Holistic Management running own grass operation. Blain has many sites in Western Canada where is monitoring carbon sequestration. Blain is prepared to consult on an individual basis or teach small groups, or host groups at our farm and show what he does. He is prepared to speak to groups on how the environment functions and how our actions will ultimately influence the ecosystem.

Brian is proud to be able to work alongside his father, his two oldest sons and wife Gail on their ranch in central Alberta. Brian’s journey with Holistic Management began in 1993 when he picked up and decided to read Allan Savory’s book Holistic Resource Management. Brian became a Certified Educator in 2010 and continues build his  knowledge of Holistic Management. Brian is available for on-site consultation, public speaking and facilitation of HM courses.

Tony and Fran have forty years of farm experience on their certified organic farm with experience in raising and direct marketing grass fed beef,pastured poultry and pastured pigs. They also operated a Community Supported Market Garden for 15 years. They have extensive portable fencing knowledge and knowledge on renewable energy, draft horses, ecological agriculture, proportional representation electoral processes, local currencies and time dollars. They are willing to teach classes, do individual consulting and lead Couple Enrichment weekend retreats (we have training in Marriage Enrichment communication and relationship strengthening as well as our HM training).

Kelly Sidoryk ranches with her family near Lloydminster, Sask./Alta. Over 25 years ago they were introduced to Holistic Resource Management (as it was known at the time), a decision making/planning process that focusses on finances, land and people.  She completed the certification program through HRM with a focus on the people side. In addition to running their family business, she has worked with many farm families as they work on transitioning to the next generation. She also teaches Holistic Management Whole/Farm Ranch Planning courses and is a certified educator with Holistic Management International(HMI). Currently, she is past-chair of the HMI board.

Educator Certification:

Educators are certified under either the Holistic Management International Certified Educator Program or the Savory Institute Accredited Professional Program. Both require a demonstration of mastery in the Holistic Management framework.
