Practical Tools for Your Farm

Holistic Management educates and empowers people to make socially, environmentally and financially sound decisions. Take home new ideas and practices to improve your land and your business.

Inspiring Community

Known for attracting an amazing community of people who work with the land this is the place to meet farmers, ranchers and land managers who are exploring new practices, ways of thinking and supporting the paradigm shift in our agriculture and food systems.

Also featuring a Virtual Q & A with Allan Savory

Bring your questions and get ready for a lively, interactive discussion with the founder of Holistic Management.

Allan Savory has made it his life’s work to understand and reverse what was causing the rapid degradation of land. Working as a game and research officer in what is now Zimbabwe and Zambia, Allan Savory began observing that areas where animals have been excluded were degrading worse than areas where there had been herds followed by rest. This lead to a significant breakthrough in understanding what was causing the degradation and desertification of the world’s grasslands, and the seeds of Holistic Management were planted.

Allan began working with Canadian farmers and ranchers in the mid-eighties. What started as one man’s efforts has evolved today into a complex ecosystem of initiatives stewarded by a global cadre of changemakers. Holistic Management is revolutionizing agriculture and offering a proven path to the transformative wholeness upon which all of life depends.

These days, at 90 years old, Allan splits his time between Zimbabwe at the Centre for Holistic Management and his home in Florida. He has been working on a memoire, which can be pre-ordered here. He continues to lead deep dive discussions through a Virtual Campfire Series with the Savory Institute.
