December 2021: Holistic Management Course – Brandon, MB
Join us for a 4-day in-person Holistic Management near Brandon, Manitoba.
Course Instructors: Ralph Corcoran Holistic Management Certified Educator, Dana Penrice, Savory Institute Accredited Professional and Lydia Carpentier, Holistic Management Practitioners and Certified Educators-in-Training.
When: December 4 & 5, 2021 and December 11 & 12, 2021 with an optional session December 18 & 19.

Course Format: This will be an in-person course. We are planning on carrying through with this event with health and safety measures in place, unless provincial public health guidelines prevent us from doing so.
Cost: The cost for this course is $500/farm unit. We are excited to be offering a discount on this course which regularly costs $1200! Please register by November 26.
Bringing significant others is highly encouraged. If costs are a significant barrier, contact the organizers for possible options on a case-by-case basis. If the course must be cancelled due to covid restrictions, full refunds will be provided.

Course Content: This 4-day course will primarily focus on the goal and context setting and financial planning components of the Holistic Management Framework. Two optional days have been set aside to dig deeper into grazing, land and crop planning.
Day 1 | Intro to Holistic Management & Key Insights | Why do we need a new approach to our farms? How can Holistic Management help us plan for the future we want for our family, the land and our community? |
Day 2 | Defining Context and Holistic Goal | What is possible on our farms given the resources available to us? Who and what will guide our decisions? |
Day 3 | Financial Planning | How can we match our farm and family goals with a financial plan to help us get there? |
Day 4 | Decision Making in a New Context | What tools can we use to test our decisions and make sure that we are on track? |
Day 5 (optional) | Grazing Planning | Introduction to grazing planning. |
Day 6 (optional) | Land & Crop Planning | Introduction to land planning and considerations when integrating crops and cover crops. |
